The Sale and Rent Back Scheme
The Sale and Rent Back Scheme will be considered for all properties that HS2 Limited agrees to purchase. The scheme is designed to provide flexibility to home owners.
All homes will be considered where the cost of repairs, improvements or testing of service installations, make maintaining the property a reasonable use of tax payers’ money. The Government follows its own regulations on rented properties being safe and suitable for tenants.
If the property is suitable for letting, HS2 Limited will calculate the market rent based upon rents being charged for other, similar properties in the open market. Lettings will be granted for an initial term of six months.
