Compulsory Purchase Surveyors

There are many chartered surveying practices across the country but few with expertise in the field of compulsory purchase. Sometimes surveyors agree to undertake a compulsory purchase order instruction on behalf of a client without having the proper knowledge or expertise to undertake the work itself.

It is important for claimants to engage a compulsory purchase order expert who fully understand the procedure, law, case law and how compensation is calculated. If proper advice is not obtained then the owner of the property can suffer significant levels of financial loss.

A CPO surveyor will understand what can be claimed and how to present such a claim. They will also be able to advise on what cannot be claimed. They will be accustomed to dealing with Acquiring Authorities and be fully acquainted with all the arguments that an Acquiring Authority may use to try and minimise the level of compensation payable.

Roger Hannah & Co are CPO specialist undertaking compulsory purchase order work nationwide. Typically we would act on most major scheme across the country eg London Olympics, Crossrail, HS2, Metrolink, Liverpool One, etc.
