Roger Hannah & Co, acting on behalf of Gorrie Ltd, is delighted to have completed the sale of a residential development site, comprising the former Bamber Bridge Mill. Located just three miles from Preston town centre, the derelict site which was demolished in 2015, has been granted planning consent for 196 new high quality homes and is set to be redeveloped by Countryside Properties.

Tom Shepherd, Director and Head of Land & Development at Roger Hannah & Co speaking on behalf of the team commented:

“We have been working with the landowner over the last few years and despite the site’s challenging nature, it benefits from core property fundamentals, including its central location within Bamber Bridge, proximity to a big employment base at Walton Summit and excellent train and road links.

This strategically important site will be redeveloped to a very high standard and will provide much needed new homes, which we believe will bring long lasting benefits to the local and regional economies".

“Our aim for Wren Green is to bring high quality housing into the area and our approach to community building will see the rapid emergence of an attractive development that is both affordable and attainable for a wide range of people.”

The homes themselves are an exciting example of sleek, stylish design tailored specifically to modern family life. Featuring a large open plan kitchen-diner, smart French Doors and your own private garden, each of these surprisingly affordable properties offers the ideal environment to start or grow your family.
