Acting on behalf of a national online clothing retailer Roger Hannah & Co were successful in agreeing a substantial reduction in the business rates assessment of an industrial unit in Trafford Park Manchester.

The client occupied three adjoining units within an estate and following a site survey and subsequent negotiations with the valuation office, Roger Hannah & Co were able to argue the rating assessment was excessive and should be merged and a reduction was agreed. The agreement reduced the Rateable Value from £109,250 to £95,500.

The reduction produces substantial financial savings for the client and ensures the correct calculation of business rates liability moving forward into the 2017 rating list.
