Acting for the landlord and faced with tenant’s refusal to accept the landlord’s right to implement an outstanding rent review dating back to 2009, with legal assistance, we successfully defeated the tenant’s argument and subsequently negotiated a 30% rent increase, resulting in almost £35,000 of back rent to our clients, as well as simultaneously negotiating a new 10 year lease with a break and rent review in the 5th year at lease renewal.
