INVESTMENT DEPARTMENT TAKING SHAPE

Roger Hannah & Co are aiming to increase their market share of the property investment market with a dedicated investment department being led by Dan Newton, a senior surveyor who has been with the company for over 7 years.

The goal is to increase the number of transactions dealt with, in terms of acquiring investment properties on behalf of clients and at the same time increasing the number and quality of our disposals.

Despite the current economic climate, property investment is still relatively bouyant. The low interest rates being offered by the banks has led to the need to invest money elsewhere and property represents a good opportunity. Although there is risk in purchasing investment properties, by carrying out due diligence and picking the right property / tenant, the risk, to a degree can be alleviated.

To aid the development of the department, as a company we have invested in Propex, an online platform which enables us to introduce, receive and store property investment opportunities. Essentially it is a ready made market place for this particular sector.
